Accessibility.
We want ARCERS content to be usable regardless of device, input method, or assistive technology.
Our goal
Perceivable, operable and understandable.
The website will gradually be aligned with the requirements of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.2 at conformance level AA. The implementation will be checked technically and continued as new content is added.
Screen reader and Braille display
Content instead of special presentation.
Headings, navigation, forms, links and images are semantically marked. This allows screen readers to read the content aloud and transmit it to a connected Braille display. A separate optical “braille version” is not necessary.
Keyboard
Accessible without a mouse.
Interactive elements can be accessed using the keyboard. A jump link leads directly to the main content, and the current keyboard focus is clearly displayed.
Depiction
Zoom, contrast and movement.
Text and layout adapt to small views and high magnification. System settings for increased contrast and reduced motion are taken into account. The black and white representation of the images does not convey information exclusively about color.
Known boundaries
Accessibility remains an ongoing process.
Complete testing with all combinations of browsers and assistive technologies cannot be guaranteed. New project media and content are therefore checked for alternative texts, structure, contrast and keyboard operation before publication.
